The one item the fashion director can’t stop wearing

I have lost count of how many articles I have read over the years listing what every woman should have in their wardrobe. You probably have too. It's mostly nonsense. Take the idea that, by way of one endlessly quoted example, we are all supposed to track down the perfect pair of jeans. Aside from the fact that there isn't such a thing, what if you hate jeans? What if jeans hate you? If no less a style authority than Miuccia Prada abhors jeans and never wears them, why should you? You can bet your bottom euro Miuccia pays no attention to those articles.
