PHOTO REPORT: Disney's Animal Kingdom & Disney Springs 1/8/23 (New MagicBand+ Designs, Sunrise Cupcake, 'Wakanda Forever' Ear Headband, & More)

Good morning from Disney's Animal Kingdom. It's a beautiful day and we are looking forward to spending the day here. We will be doing some shopping and trying some snacks. We also plan on stopping by Disney Springs later to see if there is anything new we can find. Adventure is out there!

The Christmas decorations are still up and the music is still playing here at Disney's Animal Kingdom.

Let's do some shopping! A new cuddly Simba weighted plush is now available in Riverside Depot. There is a removable 2 1/2 pound weighted pouch inside. Weighted plush help with anxiety and other conditions. You can see other weighted plush designs available here.

New MagicBand+ designs are now available in Riverside Depot. These new designs include a Disney 100 of Wonder and 2023 MagicBand+.

A Na’vi glow crystal spear toy from "Avatar: The Way of Water" has arrived in Riverside Depot. This glow toy is based on the great Na’vi swords made with powerful obsidian rock.

There was also a "Coco" themed embroidery kit available. The craft set includes fabric markers, embroidery hoops, printer embroidery cloth, bag clips, embroidery floss skeins, sticky felt and scissors. This is a fun kit to bring "Coco" to life.

A "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" poison apple ornament in a keepsake box is now available in Discovery Trading Company.

In Island Mercantile we spotted "Zootopia" themed sweatpants featuring Flash.

More "Avatar: The Way of Water" merchandise has arrived. There is a Na’vi glow crystal knife toy in Island Mercantile. The toy knife glows like the bioluminescence found in Pandora.

In Windtraders a new "Avatar: The Way of Water" long sleeve shirt is now available. The shirt features Na’vi riding Skimwings.

Also in Windtraders we spotted Na’vi staking trays.

In Zuri Sweets Shop we found two new Sketchbook ornaments featuring the Morocco pavilion.

A New Year red pocket set featuring Mickey, Minnie, Chip ‘n Dale, Donald and Daisy has arrived in Serka Zong Bazaar.

In Chester & Hester's Dinosaur Treasures a new Mickey Mouse cropped sweatshirt and sweatpants set is now available. The set features a retro Mickey Mouse and states, "Welcome Friends!"

As we walked around the park we noticed the construction walls were now down at DINOSAUR in Dinoland U.S.A.

In The Dino Institute Shop we spotted a new Winnie the Pooh themed MagicBand+. This band is yellow and red and features Winnie the Pooh with hunny pots and bees.

Let's try a new snack here at Disney's Animal Kingdom. The new Sunrise cupcake, themed to Disney's The Lion King, is available at Pizzafari, Restaurantosaurus, and Flame Tree Barbecue. You can read our full review here.

Next we stopped in at Disney Springs to see if we could find anything new.

In World of Disney, there is now a section decorated for Disney 100 Years of Wonder.

New loungewear is now available in World of Disney. There was a new yellow Mickey Mouse Walt Disney World zip-up hoodie and sweatpants set.

There was also a new black Mickey Mouse Walt Disney World zip-up hoodie and sweatpants set available.

New princess themed apparel was available in World of Disney. These items included sweatpants, long-sleeve pullover, and zip-up hoodie. The sweatpants feature the homes of some of the Disney princesses.

The long sleeve pullover features Princess Jasmine and Tiana.

The zip-up hoodie features Princess Tiana, Snow White and Ariel.

The "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" ear headband has arrived in World of Disney. It is a Namor-themed ear headband with padded ears, beaded design and metallic backdrop. The back of the ear headband features 3 sails on each ear.

Finally in Disney's Days of Christmas "The Santa Claus" themed mug has arrived. This mug states, "Not too hot extra chocolate shaken not stirred." We just wish we could try Judy's hot cocoa from "The Santa Claus."
