Party Like You're On Batuu No Matter Where You Are With Dj Rex

Posted by: Jill Bivins April 7, 2023

No trip to Batuu is complete without a stop into Oga's Cantina. The drinks are out of this world (seriously, try a Fuzzy Tauntaun…you won't regret it) but the best part of this "hive of scum and villainy" is the music. Dj Rex spins music that’ll have you up off your feet and dancing to the beat.

For those who don't know, DJ Rex wasn't always a DJ. The Droid used to be a pilot on Star Tours. He wasn't exactly a successful pilot per say…in fact he was pretty awful. After one too many crash landings, Rex left flying for good to pursue his lifelong dream of spinning tracks and making stacks.

His success has traveled far and wide and from his humble beginnings at a bar on Black Spire Outpost, he's gained intergalactic fame! So much so that his Playlist just dropped on Earthling streaming channels!

You can now party like you’re on Battu no matter where you are because Rex's set list at Oga's Cantina is now available on Spotify and Apple Music. Get down with Outer Rim hits like "Blue Milk Surprise," "Til the Spire" "Doolstan," "Shakewalla" and "After Hours at Oga's" check it out on Spotify here and Apple Music here.

While you’re at it, try your hand at mixing up some of Oga's infamously strong drinks at home. The Jedi Mind Trick is a personal favorite. Check out the recipe below:

Combine and shake well. Serve over ice!

I am so excited for the new Playlist and I can't wait to play it at my next Star Wars themed party (…yes…I have Star Wars themed parties. Doesn't everybody?)! This Playlist makes me feel like I’m right back in Galaxy's Edge!
