Garden clubs host event featuring floral designs, horticulture, nature photography

The Garden Club of Evanston in partnership with the Garden Guild of Winnetka hosts It's Elemental! a major show of talented floral designers, nature photographers and horticulturists. The show will also feature a video and exhibit of Evanston Grows edible gardens working to reduce food insecurity.

The show will be held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 616 Lake St. in Evanston. The Garden Club of Evanston and the Garden Guild of Winnetka will share beautiful floral design, horticulture specimens and photographs submitted by local gardeners and others from around the Midwest.

A special exhibit of Evanston Grows Edible Gardens Collective (a partner with The Garden Club of Evanston) will educate and inspire visitors. A video and demonstration of how to cultivate vegetables will be available.

It's Elemental! is free and open to the public on Thursday, May 18 from 10 am to 2 pm.
